Janet Lousley: Janet Lousley is an experienced consultant, educator, and program co-ordinator in the dietetics field with over 30 years experience who has been retired as a registered dietitian for nine years. As a Home Care Dietitian with Access Centre for Community Care in Lanark, Leeds & Grenville for five years, she knows the Leeds and Grenville area very well.  She was a Clinical Dietitian at Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital for many years and has a good knowledge of the population of Smiths Falls and some of Lanark County.

As a Director of the Food Service Supervision Program for Canadian Healthcare Association in Ottawa, she has worked with other health care professionals in providing distance education programs across Canada. As a Lecturer in Foods at Kemptville College of Agricultural Technology, she has been involved in education.  Janet Lousley lived in Texas for 2 years and in Venezuela for 3 1/2 years, where she obtained knowledge of healthcare in other parts of the world. She was the Administrator of the Canada Fund at the Canadian Embassy in Venezuela and assessed community improvement project proposals, identified those for approval, and conducted follow-up evaluations of approved local Canadian-funded projects. She also managed a successful sheep farm for ten years. Her volunteer experience includes the United Church of Canada Presbytery Representative and Chair of Pastoral Oversight Committee for Seaway Valley Presbytery, lay delegate to General Council in 2006, and a member of the Library Board of Oxford-on-Rideau Township.  Over her  professional career,  she has been involved in many volunteer positions within the healthcare sector and particularly in dietetics.
