It has been our experience that many parents understand the need for and appreciate the Care
for Kids Program being offered in their child’s “school”. It is however, strongly recommended
that “teachers” be properly trained and parents are well informed and included in the decision
to have their child(ren) participate.
There are parents who will have objections to the program for a variety of reasons and it is
important to respect their wishes. If you are implementing the Care for Kids Program, in a “school” make alternative arrangements for children who will not be participating.
If you are a parent or guardian, you are welcome to use the activities and messages outlined in
the Care for Kids Program, with your child.
We request that all those who use our Care For Kids program complete a brief evaluation.

From Crisis to Coordination:
An Integrated Community Response to a Multi-Victim Child Sexual Abuse Crisis
Out of a Crisis of child sexual abuse, our community has created hope. Out of our story we have created this document. We hope it will help professionals and community leaders be better prepared to cope with a multi-victim, multi-offender crisis, should it ever occur. But more importantly, we hope readers will be inspired to work together in agencies and communities across the country to meet the needs of all sexually abused children. We encourage each and every one of you to do your part to prevent this type of crisis from ever happening in your community. Together let's bring the tragedy of child sexual abuse to an end in Canada. |
