Who's Responsible for
Child Abuse? When we kick our denial it's clear - WE
ARE! And this is GOOD NEWS, 'cause if we are responsible for abuse happening,
then we're also in a position of influence to stop it.
The focus of this
brief presentation is to consider:
- How we harm
children with traditional sexual abuse prevention programs
- How adults can get
over their "sex as a second language" hangups, so that
they can effectively communicate with their partners, peers and children.
- How adults can use
change theory to move from a place of denial and
blaming to acceptance and action in solving the child sexual abuse
situations in their communities.
