Back to Growing Up Healthy

Dental Hygienists provide oral assessments in all elementary schools in Leeds Grenville and Lanark. This does not replace regular dental appointments with the dentist.

Depending on where you live and your children's dental health, you may need to use fluoride supplements.  The Health Unit now offers fluoride varnish applications for children who may need this additional preventative treatment.  Clinics are held at a variety of community locations, call the Health Unit for more information at 1 800 660 5853.

Families who require financial assistance for dental treatment may be eligible to apply for CINOT (Children In Need Of Treatment), through the Health Unit, before the treatment is done.

For more information on baby teeth and good oral health, visit the Dental section of our website.
