Asset development in children
Back to For Parents

The Search Institute's 40 Developmental Assets provide a common sense, positive approach to parenting. Developmental Assets are the building blocks that produce healthy children and youth.

Through extensive research the Search Institute has identified 40 areas that are crucial to a child’s positive healthy growth and development. They are organized in a very clear and tangible way so that we can nurture children to become successful in their individual development as they accumulate skills and thus build their asset bank.

Further information on Asset Development can be obtained at the Search Institute.
