Food and water borne diseases
Salmonella, Giardia and Campylobacter continue to be the most frequently reported types of food and water-borne diseases in Leeds Grenville and Lanark (LGL)

Sexually transmitted diseases 
Chlamydia continues to account for the vast majority of identified sexually transmitted diseases in LGL

Influenza
There were 29 cases of influenza reported in 2003.
Influenza vaccine coverage was surveyed of residents 12 and over in the Canadian Community Health Survey. 38.5% of LGL residents reported having had a vaccine within the last year, females more commonly than males (fig1_immune).
In the 2003-04 flu season, vaccine coverage of long term care and retirement facilities in LGL was 95% for residents, and 91% for staff.
