Back to Infant's Oral Health

Thumb sucking, or using a soother is a natural comforting behaviour for your infant. An infant will decide if and what they will use as a comforting device and trying to change that may be difficult.

Do not use a bottle filled with a sugary liquid for soothing.

If you are concerned about the length of the soothing habit, discuss with an oral health professional.
