ADVISORY - Gananoque - October 26, 2008 NOTICE : Health Hazard Alert - Listeriosis Outbreak Certain Ready-To-Eat Deli Meat Products Produced at Establishment #97B May Contain Listeria Monocytogenes For a list of these products please refer to: Canadian Food Inspection Agency Recall List (Note: The 'plant number' is located near the 'best before date' or 'Packed on' date.)
LEARN the facts and symptoms of
Listeriosis Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or
smell spoiled. Consumption of food contaminated with this bacteria may
cause listeriosis, a foodborne illness. Listeriosis can cause high
fever, severe headache, neck stiffness and nausea. Pregnant women, the
elderly and people with weakened immune systems are particularly at
risk. Infected pregnant women may experience only a mild, flu-like
illness, however, infections during pregnancy can lead to premature

NOTICE: Ontario
has now passed legislation making it illegal to smoke in any vehicle
while children under 16 are present. -
