MMR = measles, mumps and rubella vaccine must be given after the
first birthday. |
|
** If your child has not had chicken pox or the vaccine he/she
can receive the chicken pox vaccine at 5 years of age. |
|
These vaccines can be given as early as 12 months of age. |
|
If your child has not had the meningococcal c-conjugate
vaccine (at 1 year of age) then he/she can receive the vaccine
at 12 years of age or in grade 7. Youth who did not
receive meningococcal c-conjugate vaccine at a
school clinic are eligible for this vaccine until 21
years of age inclusive. |
NOTE : The MMR and varicella vaccines are live virus vaccines. If not
given on the same day, they must be given at least 28 days apart.
Talk to your doctor or nurse practitioner for more information on these
vaccines and the diseases they prevent.
It is important to keep an immunization record.
