As Canadians we are very fortunate to have access to clean water and
safe food. We tend to not worry and take these things for granted.
However, many countries still have problems ensuring and maintaining
safe food and water. When planning a trip particularly to a developing
country, you should be aware of the health risks of consuming
contaminated food and water.
Health Unit Travel Immunization Clinics
The Health Unit offers comprehensive travel information for
international travellers. Some resources include vaccine recommendations, mosquito precautions and general health and safety
advice. Please note there is a charge for travel vaccines. For
information on your next trip call one of our five offices to schedule
an appointment.
