Follow these steps to perform
"The BACCHUS Manoeuvre" Recovery Position:

| 1.
Raise the person's closest arm above his/her head. Prepare to roll him/her towards you.

| 2.
Gently roll as a unit. Guard his/her head as you roll him/her.
|
 |
| 3.
Tilt head to maintain airway. Tuck nearest hand under cheek to help
maintain head tilt.
|
 |
| ... Check him/her often.

Plan ahead

Choose activities wisely

Provide non-alcoholic beverages and serve food

Have guests take a cab, stay over night, or have a designated driver

Stop serving alcohol a few hours before the end of the party.

Stay sober and act as bartender

Be sure everyone is of legal drinking age

Staying Safe At A Party

Keep your drink with you at all times

Don’t let others drink out of your drink no matter what

Stay with a group of people you know and trust.

Don’t drink from open containers (e.g. punch bowls)

Don’t take any pills (e.g. aspirin, breath, mints, gum)
-
Drink only from tamper proof containers that you open yourself.

If you feel “weird”, develop a headache or feel very tired get help right away.

Have a cell phone with you and know the emergency numbers to call for help.

Let someone know where you are going.
Staying Safe At A Bush/ Field Party
Safety precautions for a rave still apply, along with the following:

Know where the party is going to be held.

Take a flashlight and whistle.
-
Don’t go off on your own.
-
Watch out for wildlife (e.g. foxes, skunks)
