Work on the Math Event
- A follow up to the Do the Math/Eat the Math Campaign - June 24, 2011

Thirty local stakeholders took part in the Work on the Math Event hosted by the Food Matters Coalition and the Health Unit. As a follow up to last November’s Do the Math/Eat the Math Campaign, interested community members gathered to share their food security related activities inspired by the campaign. They then broke into groups to discuss how to move forward on issues such as emergency food programs (healthier food bank donations); sustainable food solutions (community kitchens, gardens) and advocacy and policy (education, raising awareness).
