Walk to a friend - neighbour's house for a visit (at least 10 minutes away). Go for a winter nature walk. Look for animal tracks, trees and birds.

Build a snow-fort. Park further away. Walk shorter distances instead of driving (10 minutes). Have a dance recital at home and have everyone create their own dance. Play outdoor hockey. Play hide and seek or capture the flag with a group of friends and/or family. Play soccer or badminton outside with family and/or friends. Try out a new activity at your local fitness centre.
 29
Take your dog for a walk (borrow a friends' dog and take it for a walk). Here are some ideas you can try to get active this winter, keep it interesting and have fun!

Create great active memories for yourselves and your family. If there are other activities you like to do just add them to your calendar or move these ideas around to suit your schedule. Take advantage of the opportunities our great Canadian winter provides us! Bundle up and get outside and play!!!
