Pregnancy leave is a right for pregnant employees; maternity benefits are payments that eligible workers can receive while on pregnancy leave. Parental leave is a right that new parents have to take time off work; parental benefits may or may not be included.

There are several options available that will extend the amount of time a couple can be off work to care for their child.
