  • Exercise routines should be resumed gradually and be based on your physical ability and comfort.
  • If you have had a Caesarean section, your doctor can help you decide when your stitches are healed well enough to increase your activity.
  • It is important for all women to continue pelvic floor exercises (Kegels) and abdominal muscle exercises, and to take special care to avoid strains that lead to back pain.
