Regular moderate physical activity is one of the easiest ways to improve and maintain your health. Exercise has the potential to prevent and control certain diseases such as heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, obesity, adult-onset diabetes, osteoporosis, colon and breast cancer and depression. This holds true for throughout your life, and is important both before and during pregnancy. Finding ways to include physical activity in your day is easy to do and is a good habit to develop before pregnancy.
