Pandemic Influenza is a potential global public health emergency that requires preparedness, response and recovery roles and responsibilities for the Health Unit. The planning includes communication, collaboration, education, training and exercises. The Ontario Public Health Standards, 2008 now includes Emergency Preparedness as a separate Program Standard.
