Travel Nursing Standard Counselling Points
Are you planning to travel?
According to the Mandatory Health Programs and Services
Guidelines, the Health Unit is required to ensure that travel health
advice and vaccination programs are made available to the public.
The board of health shall provide or ensure the availability of travel
health advice and immunizations for travelers. Mandatory Health
Programs and Services Guidelines
Public Health Nurses provide consultation that includes assessment of
individual immunization records, medical history, allergies and other
personal risk factors in order to customize effective vaccination
schedules for travelers. The Health Unit also provides resources to
health care professionals regarding travel health.
