Leeds, Grenville And Lanark Counties Breast Cancer Library Project

During a focus group in Sharbot Lake, it became clear that current and credible information was needed for women regarding breast health. A strategy for improving access to this information was developed and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s grant will allow the Country Roads Community Health Centre, the Health Unit and other community groups to purchase approved books for 33 libraries. 

Bookplates with websites and phone numbers for resources will be placed in the front cover of each book so women and the library staff will know that they have been reviewed and approved.
