Back
to 2005 Annual Report
Submitted by Margaret Hendriks, RN, BScN

Clinical Services Department
Three new vaccines have been added to the routine immunization schedule
for children: chicken pox, meningococcal meningitis, and pneumococcal
disease. These vaccines offer the best protection when given in the
first two years of life, which is when a child is most susceptible to
these illnesses. The vaccines are provided free of charge. For more
information contact your health care provider, or call the Health Unit
and ask for a public health nurse.
