Partners work together for FOCUS on substance abuse in Smiths
Falls
The Smiths Falls FOCUS Community Coalition is a highly motivated
group of agencies and individuals who address prevention of injuries and chronic
diseases associated with substance abuse for the Smiths Falls and district area.
Group representation includes enforcement, education, not-for-profit and health
sectors. Funding for programs is provided by the Ministry of Health Promotion
and is aimed at youths, adults, and older adults.
In May of 2005, the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health
Unit took over the lead agency role for the Smiths Falls FOCUS group and will
continue to support all of the Coalition's efforts.
