The Upper Canada District School Board

We have 107 elementary and secondary schools.

Each of our 17 rural high schools serves an area larger than Toronto's DSB which has 114 high schools.

Approximately 25,000 students are elementary.

Just under 14,000 are secondary students.

2500 are alternative/continuing education students.

The Upper Canada District School Board serves approximately 40,000 students in total.

The
Catholic District School Board of
Eastern Ontario was newly-formed on
January 1, 1998. We serve the
areas of the following former
English Section school boards: Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry
County Roman Catholic Separate
School Board, the Lanark,
Leeds and Grenville County Roman
Catholic Separate School Board,
and the Prescott-Russell County
English-Language Separate School
Board.

The
territory of our new Board covers an
area of 12,165 square kilometres,
from the Quebec border in the east,
to Renfrew County in the west, from
the St. Lawrence river in the south,
to the Ottawa River in the north
(excluding the Regional Municipality
of Ottawa-Carleton). We are
responsible for all
English-language, Roman Catholic
schools in the area. Presently
we have 42
elementary schools, 6
secondary schools, and 1
continuing education program.
