The Clinical Services Department of the Health Unit offers teaching resources such
as videos, games and worksheets for students covering the topic of puberty.
Public Health Nurses are available as resources and/or to assist teachers in
delivering the material.
Most children grow in similar ways thus following the same stages of development in
approximately the same order while heredity and environmental factors do influence
development. Using such teaching materials as “The Puberty Clock” helps
students understand the changes of puberty as a normal and natural part of healthy
