The Healthy Sexuality Program, together with individuals and groups, helps to promote a sexually healthy community in Leeds Grenville and Lanark.

 

Our services include clinics, community outreach and The Health Action Line 1-800-660-5853. Our clinics provide no-hassle counseling and confidential services related to birth control and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV/AIDS and hepatitis B.

Community outreach services, which are provided free of charge, include presentations and consultations related to sexuality. In the Public School Board, Puberty and Healthy Sexuality are taught to Grade 5, 6 and Grade 7, 8 and 9 students respectively.

The Health Action Line, 1-800-660-5853 is a confidential, anonymous, free telephone service. Our Public Health Nurses can answer your questions about sexual health issues or will refer you to a Clinical Services Nurse.

Sexuality - the emotional side. Explore your own relationship or the kind you want to have.

Pregnancy
Find out about getting pregnant or preventing pregnancy, the symptoms, testing for pregnancy, and the options for unwanted pregnancy.

Birth Control
Find out what methods are available, how they are used, and how effective they are. STDs and AIDS Find out how you get sexually transmitted infections, what symptoms they have, and if they can be treated.
