
The Healthy Sexuality Program, together
with individuals and groups, helps to promote a sexually healthy community in
Leeds Grenville and Lanark.
Our services include
clinics, community outreach and
The Health Action Line 1-800-660-5853. Our clinics provide no-hassle counseling
and confidential services related to birth control and
sexually transmitted
infections (STIs), including HIV/AIDS and
hepatitis B.
Community outreach
services, which are provided free of charge, include presentations and
consultations related to sexuality. In the Public School Board,
Puberty and
Healthy Sexuality are taught to Grade 5, 6 and Grade 7, 8 and 9 students
respectively.
The Health Action Line, 1-800-660-5853 is a confidential,
anonymous, free telephone service. Our Public Health Nurses can answer your
questions about sexual health issues or will refer you to a Clinical Services
Nurse.
