Reproductive organs and their functions as related to the changes
of puberty.
The Clinical Services Department of the Health Unit offers teaching resources such
as videos, games and worksheets for students covering the topic of puberty. Public
Health Nurses are available as resources and/or to assist teachers in delivering
the material.
Most children grow in similar ways thus following the same stages of development
in approximately the same order while heredity and environmental factors do
influence development. Using such teaching materials as The Puberty Clock helps
students understand the changes of puberty as a normal and natural part of healthy
sexuality.
