What bugs me about tobacco use? I have asthma and tobacco smoke bugs me. I have been very good lately and have not had to use my ventolin inhaler. I was so glad to see that the City of Ottawa went smoke free in public places with their bylaw. This meant I was finally allowed to go to a concert and would not be bugged by the smoke. I had tickets to go this past summer. It was going to be great. There was a gang of us going. Well this place did not enforce the bylaw and there was smoking all around us. I did not have my ventolin since I thought it was smoke free. I had to leave the concert because I was having an asthma attack and all my friends had to come with me since we all came together. What a big disappointment. Don't they get it? Tobacco smoke also affects everyone around them. Yes it is their
decision to smoke, but it is everyone else's right to have clean air to breathe. I hope we get bylaws that restrict smoking in public and workplaces here in the Tri-counties so I could have the opportunity to go to our local restaurants and bars.
